Flooding in Chiang Mai Thailand Sept. 28, 2011
Take a look at what is the beginning of flooding in Chiang Mai Thailand. 4 people have died so far in the Mae Taeng area. All trekking is canceled due to mud slides and road closings. If your trekking company wants to take you trekking forget it. A Typhoon will land in Vietnam and through north Thailand will generate more rain for the next 7 days. Please be careful.

The parade started at 2 PM and lasted 2 hours. Here is an edited 10 minute version. Thai dance, music, girls in colorful costumes. Buddha statues being cleansed with water. See the lady boys dancing and a cute dog with sunglasses watching the parade on his little bike.

Songkran 2012 in Chiang Mai
April 2012 - Songkran is the Thai new year and is also titled "The festival of water". For several days people stand on the side of the road throwing water at everyone that passes. This video was recorded in and around Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand. Many people seemed to consider the camera and not splash us or aim for the legs. They were not aware we used a waterproof camera... In the city at night the tourist outnumbered the locals using huge waterpistols.
